About
Discovery is changing shape. Measurement has to change with it.
AuthorityOS gives organisations the intelligence and tooling to compete where answers, not links, decide the outcome.

The company
A team of search, data and AI practitioners
AuthorityOS was founded by marketers and engineers who watched organic discovery shift from ten blue links to a single synthesised answer — and realised nothing existed to measure it. Today our team spans search science, machine learning, data engineering and brand strategy, united by one obsession: making brands legible to the machines that now answer on their behalf.
We work with marketing leaders, SEO teams and agencies who refuse to fly blind while AI decides which brands get named. Everything we ship follows the same standard: if a number can't be explained, traced and acted on, it doesn't go in the product.
One platform. Every answer engine. Zero guesswork.

Our mission
The next generation of demand starts inside an answer you never see.
Search behaviour is evolving. People increasingly expect an immediate, synthesised answer rather than a page of links to evaluate themselves. The question in front of every marketing team is no longer only whether they rank, but whether AI systems understand them, cite them and recommend them.
That shift creates a measurement gap. Traditional analytics can tell you what happened after a click. It cannot tell you whether your brand was considered at all inside an answer that never produced one.
Our mission is to give organisations the intelligence and tools required to compete in this new environment.
“If a machine is going to answer on your behalf, you should be able to see exactly what it says, why it says it, and what to change.”
The standard we hold every module in AuthorityOS to.
What we do
Four disciplines, one connected system
AuthorityOS is not a dashboard bolted onto an API. Each discipline feeds the next, so a visibility drop always resolves to a page, a prompt and a fix.
Prompt intelligence
We model the questions your buyers actually ask answer engines, then track who gets named when those questions are asked.
Citation forensics
Every mention is traced back to the source the model leaned on, so you know which pages earn authority and which are invisible.
Entity and structure
Schema, entity clarity and machine-readable structure are audited as first-class ranking inputs, not as afterthoughts.
Competitive benchmarking
Share of answer against the competitors you actually lose deals to, tracked over time instead of sampled once.

The shift
What changed, in four lines
- Unit of success
- A blue link in position three
- Being named inside the answer
- Measurement
- Clicks after the fact
- Consideration before the click exists
- Optimisation target
- Keywords and backlinks
- Entities, evidence and citeable structure
- Reporting cadence
- Monthly rank snapshots
- Continuous multi-engine monitoring
How we got here
Three shifts that made AEO necessary
01
Search becomes an answer, not a list
People increasingly expect an immediate, synthesised answer instead of a page of links to evaluate. The interface between brand and customer changes shape.
02
A measurement gap opens
Traditional analytics can tell you what happened after a click. It cannot tell you whether your brand was considered inside an answer that never produced one.
03
A discipline is needed
If consideration inside AI answers is now a measurable business outcome, it needs its own intelligence, tooling and standards. That is what we build.
How we work
Principles we hold to
These are not marketing values on a wall. They are the rules that decide what ships, what gets labelled, and what stays unpublished.
Explain every number
If a score cannot be explained and traced to a fix, it does not belong in the product. No black-box metrics, no unverifiable claims.
Never fabricate proof
No invented customers, no invented results, no simulated integrations presented as real. Empty pages stay empty until the data is real.
SEO and AEO together
AEO extends technical and content discipline. It does not replace it — and we say so even when it makes the work sound less magical.
