Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated 16 October 2026
Clear billing, accessible receipts, and a straightforward way to ask for help. This policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for AuthorityOS subscriptions and related services.
Scope and your rights
This policy applies to subscriptions and services purchased directly from AuthorityOS. A signed order form or service agreement may provide different refund terms for that purchase. Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies that cannot be waived under applicable law.
This policy applies to purchases made on or after the date above. Earlier purchases remain subject to the terms offered when they were made and any rights required by law. We will not apply a new restriction retroactively to an existing charge.
Subscription payments
Monthly and annual subscriptions are billed in advance at the price and frequency displayed when you authorize payment. Unless a refund exception below applies, subscription fees are non-refundable after a billing period begins. We do not ordinarily refund unused days, unused usage allowances, inactivity, or a change of mind.
An annual payment purchases the full annual billing period. Canceling an annual subscription stops future renewal; it does not automatically create a prorated refund for the remaining months.
Trials and card verification
The trial length, any verification charge, and the first subscription billing date are shown during checkout. If you authorize recurring billing, cancel before that displayed billing date to avoid the subscription charge.
A card authorization is a temporary hold rather than a completed payment. A captured card verification charge, when disclosed at checkout, is an actual transaction and appears in your receipt history. It is not automatically credited or refunded unless the checkout offer says otherwise. Contact us if a verification charge appears incorrect.
Cancellations and renewal
You can stop future renewal through the billing portal in your AuthorityOS account. Check the confirmation and effective date shown there. Access generally continues through the period already paid for, subject to your plan and the Terms of Service.
Cancel before your next scheduled charge. A cancellation does not automatically refund a charge that has already completed. Deleting the app, stopping usage, or sending a refund request does not itself cancel recurring billing. If the cancellation control does not work, contact support promptly so we can help and review any resulting charge.
Upgrades and downgrades
Before you approve a plan change, AuthorityOS displays the amount due and when the change takes effect. An immediate plan change charges the displayed amount for the new plan and resets the billing period as shown in the confirmation.
Unless an offer or signed agreement explicitly provides a credit, unused time on the previous plan is not automatically credited or refunded. A downgrade is subject to the same displayed confirmation. Review the amount before authorizing any change.
When a refund may apply
We will correct verified duplicate charges, amounts charged in error, and charges made after a cancellation that should already have taken effect. Refunds required by law will be provided regardless of our general non-refundable policy.
If a material service failure prevents you from using a paid core feature and we cannot resolve it within a reasonable time after you report it, contact us for review. Depending on the circumstances and applicable rights, we may provide a refund or agree on an appropriate service credit. Any discretionary exception is assessed individually and does not change this policy for future purchases.
AuthorityOS does not guarantee search rankings, AI citations, traffic, leads, or revenue. The absence of a particular marketing result does not by itself establish a service defect or refund entitlement.
Services and third-party costs
Onboarding, consulting, implementation, and other professional services follow the refund and cancellation terms agreed for that engagement. Fees for work already delivered are generally non-refundable, except for errors, an agreed remedy, or applicable legal rights.
Third-party purchases and charges are governed by the provider's applicable terms. Any separately disclosed, non-recoverable costs already incurred for your approved work may be excluded from a discretionary refund, where permitted by law.
How to request a refund
Use our Contact page, select Billing / Refund request, and include your account email, workspace name, transaction reference, charge date, amount, and a short explanation. You can find the reference under Transactions & receipts in Billing. Do not send a full card number, security code, password, or API key.
Please report billing issues within 30 days of noticing the charge so we can investigate promptly. This request does not shorten any statutory claim or dispute period. We aim to respond within 5 business days and may request information needed to verify the purchase.
Processing approved refunds
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method where supported by the payment provider. We will confirm the amount and whether access or future billing changes. Bank and payment-provider processing times vary; the refund may take several business days to appear after it is issued.
A refund marked pending has not yet completed. Receipt history distinguishes pending, completed, failed, and rejected refunds. Contact us if a confirmed refund has not appeared within the timeframe provided by your payment provider.
Disputes and policy updates
If you do not recognize a charge, contact us promptly so we can investigate. You retain the right to contact your payment provider or use any legally available dispute process. We may coordinate with the provider to avoid issuing both a refund and a duplicate reimbursement for the same charge.
We may update this policy for future purchases and will provide notice of material changes where required. Keep your receipt and the terms that applied to your purchase. For related account and data rules, see our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
